ADHD Therapy

Therapy provides a safe space to deal with some of the emotional challenges and co-occurring conditions that frequently come with ADHD. In therapy, we provide you with tools to manage your emotions, to overcome anxiety, to build confidence, and find a happier life.

Our therapists use a variety of modern, researched-based tools and approaches that are the prevailing methods in modern therapy.

Examples of therapeutic approaches we use

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps individuals identify and change negative or unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors. It’s a structured, goal-oriented approach that aims to improve mental health conditions like depression and anxiety.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

DBT is also a skills-based approach to managing emotions that centers around the idea of the dialectic (the synthesis of two seemingly opposite ideas) that you can both embrace who you are and strive for change at the same time

Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)

IPT puts improvement of relationships and social functioning at the forefront of improving mental health and managing emotions

Trying out strategies

For your lecture classes, your coach gets you to try strategies until you find out that getting to class early and getting a seat in the front row while leaving your phone in your backpack makes all the difference.

The job of the coach is not to solve your problems. The job of the coach is to help you learn to devise strategies that work for your unique brain. Once you learn how to do this, you can start getting into a positive cycle or flywheel, Ultimately, with the help of your coach, you will learn how to leverage your strengths and find workaround strategies for your weaknesses.

Compassionate Approach

Our therapists are highly trained, experienced clinicians who provide a compassionate approach to helping you heal and find joy in your life. They understand that many individuals with ADHD also struggle with emotional regulation, the lingering effects of trauma, or challenges in relationships. Therapy offers a supportive environment where you can explore these experiences without judgment and begin to develop healthier patterns for coping and connecting.

Beyond symptom management, therapy is also about building you up. Our clinicians work with you on strengthening self-esteem and rebuilding confidence, which often take a hit when living with ADHD and its challenges. Through consistent support and practical strategies, our therapists help you not only address difficulties but also discover your strengths—so that you can feel more empowered in your relationships, your work, and your everyday life.
